...If you wanted a good used all around mic for anything from vocals to room, etc.

I've been really pleased with the M149 as room mic, vocal mic, acoustic instruments - haven't tried guitar amps, yet (except as a room mic on big, loud cabs). Many patterns and simply "real" sounding to my ears.
I'm concerned that you limit your search to Neumann, though, NoisyCricket. Perhaps you are needing "a client pleaser" or "gear list requirement"? There are plenty of good recording mics out there, as many have pointed out.
Most recently I procured an old MicroTech Gefell UM70 (I think - its been discontiuned and replaced with the UMT70, there's also one with an "S"?).
Anyway, very impressed so far - genuine M7. Three patterns - easier to employ that our CMV-563. I like the M9 (omni cap) on the 563, though - haven't compared them yet.
Looking forward to some downtime to "shoot-out" the 563 (M7, M8 and M9 caps) versus the UM70 in all three patterns.
For my current project, the UM70 is the front-and-center mic on a Decca Tree-type apparatus. Currently tracking rock drum kit to scratch guitar and bass parts. Reproduces the room sound very faithfully.
Haven't tried it on vocals yet.
Happy hunting,
