my new diaphragm
« on: February 11, 2012, 09:56:28 AM »

Hello Hello

Soooo I found this monkey:
in between a piece of paper in a box of old gramophone needles. Its a diaphragm right ?... right ?

I think its for a Telefunken or Neumann mic only because this guy serviced Neumann mics.... so anyone got any clues ?
I can give measurements.....

Where was this diaphragm found?
Because original Neumann diaphragms, to my knowledge, never left the Berlin/Gefell plants in their raw state.

Hi Klaus
The previous owner was the first importer of Neumann microphones into the UK post WW2.  He was a friend of Willie Studer and Georg Neumann . This item is from his estate the same as the unused and un-drilled M7 backplate I have. It could be from anywhere for any mic . But I do think this has a considered provenance.
