very easy to do- there aren't many in there.

yes, it is pretty easy.

although i had 4 come into the shop dead after some one
had recapped 'em.

they had ripped out the thru holes on a trace or two.

the traces can come up if you heat them up too much, but go for it!

Hakko 808...best couple hundred bucks I EVER spent.

I can't believe how easy this things makes recapping.

I'm using a custom opamp module on my 500 pre card. With it DC offsets are extremely low. I removed all the coupling caps, input, gain shunt and output. With 46 db of gain there is less than 500 uv of DC offset. The sonics sans caps is remarkable.
