Bob was one of the great old record guys, who'd work the phones all day promoting his artists, record them in his office studio, cut an acetate of the nights work and drive it over to a radio station, slip the DJ at ten spot, and get that track on the radio.

I worker with him in the '90's and he still had the Ampex 602 he recorded La Bamba on, as well as the two u47's he used.

Pretty hip dude IMO.
