The Original Vienna was introduced several years ago.

It had a sparkling personality, alas, a noisy pad.
(Hey, when you screw up, find a solution, right?).

The Mk8 has had the pad issue fixed with a new Belgian design,
that is -  a better capsule, better design, and a new factory.

The interesting thing is that we sell way more Vienna in LA
and way more Hamburg in Nashville, yet about equal in NYC.

The Rockers like the Vienna, Country and Jazz cats - the Hamburg.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Larry!

I've actually decided to go with a Hamburg MK8 after all that.

I've gotta say the ADK customer service is top notch!  Looking forward to using the mic  Cool

+1 on that...

i talked to Larry last week while trying to track down a ring clip for an S7... i appreciated you taking the time to talk shop! nice to see a manufacturer that interested in the end users needs for tools! anyway - larry - going to use the S7 on kick (possibly... as long as it wins the shootout!) on a jazz date tomorrow... i'll see if i can get an mp3 posted.

take care!
