Crane, Pendulum and Mytek customer support
« on: August 09, 2008, 06:02:28 PM »

Hi, folks

I am asking a permission to post this on here. Somewhat off-topic.

Still not sure, But I have never received a reply from Dave Hill (Crane), Greg(Pendulum) and Mytek.

It is been over a month I requested a Phoenix authorization for my PT HD Accel system, also wanted to register my Ibis, which is one of the very few units in Brazil.

Concerning Pendulum, more than one year and also no replies. Also, first unit of the OCL2 here.

BTW.. I check anti-spam folders everyday so that if anything gets locked in there, I can fix it.

The shorter one has been Mytek, almost one week and  no replies.

If any of them is here, please may you get in contact with me?

Thanks

Try giving these guys a call. My experience with these companies has been really really really good. Sometimes I get the support staff and occasionally the big cheese calls back and blinds me with science, which I truly enjoy! Wink

I agree, if email doesn't work give them a call. I have had very good support from Crane Song over the years. Possibly your emails are being blocked on their side. Anti-spam rules used by some ISPs have become pretty strict. If your email is being sent through a mail server being hosted on a residental connection for example, it could possibly be blocked by some.

Every time I've called Crane Song, Dave answered the phone and pretty much talked my ear off.
There's no better support than these guys give!

There are only three people at Mytek.  It can be hard to get hold of them, but I also suggest calling.  Once reached, the support was excellent.

Have you tried techsupport@cranesong.net ... Sean Erspamer always replied me in a very short time and was very patient with my questions.

Yesterday I received a reply from Mytek.

All the technical questions ignored, answered only one item concerning a TosLink ADAT portunavilable ate the Stereo192 AD converter of theirs..

I don't know what is up with these guys.

Concerning the specifications and differences between the Stereo AD96 x Stereo Ad192.

Once I do not intend to work over 96k, what real benefits would onehave utiling the 192 model over the 96 model. Stufflike this...

Also questioning abut the cabling of their Top model, the 8 x 192,their cards for PT HD,  andA dat Lightpipe operation with Fs over 48k.

Concerning Crane, no response for Phoenix demo/ilok,no registering of my Ibis .Sad

Concerning Pendulum, over a year, no reply for valves, etc.

Really strange... they (cranesong) had responded to my questions very very fast and I'm not even in the same time zone.
