BG Mastering
« on: February 23, 2007, 08:22:10 PM »

Hi,
Purely out of interest in the facility and happenings, anyone know what's going down at Bernie Grundman Mastering? The site's been in progress for a long time
http://www.berniegrundman.com/
and the only other online info seems to be discographies, early interviews or Pro Sound News http://prosoundnews.com/articles/article_4701.shtml which takes you back to the other site.
Anyone in the know?

To my knowledge, they've never had a website up, and I can't imagine they need one.

By all accounts business is booming at BGM.

Yes Brad. I'm sure it is.
Still, would be nice to see/hear of the two current facilities via their "future" website.

They definitely don't need a web site.
I was there at the beggining of the month with an artist and
had a two month wait to get booked with the man himself.
They seem pretty packed

That's what I like best about some of the big guys.... limited bravado.
Just solid track records and consistent quality. A real inspiration daily especially when I let the scrapping tone of these forums get to me!

Hey, I agree. There's no doubt in my mind that they're still doing great work. It still doesn't explain why their "future" website sits there for at least a year and a half or more with nothing on it. It's just misleading, is all. And wouldn't you like to see some pics of the facilities or hear about it?  Smile

Hell yeah... there would be stuff for me  - but what's in it for them?

At that level it would be unwise to be sharing all yer goodies? These are nice guys but business is business.
Best to keep the romance/mystery alive and the rates as high as possible.

So that's what I felt when I was visiting your room! The romance!

Its has been a good while, but our site is still in the works and nearing completion.  We have been fortunate to maintain a healthy workload, so the site has probably not had our full attention.  If you want a taste of some other activities here at the studio, you may be interested in this...

Thanks Scott.
(Wasn't intending to put the 'hard word' on you all, as a healthy degree of mystery will often go a long way, too, but this was an observation as you guys don't seem to get much mention in these parts.)
