Tascam MX16 1"

Without having the schematics or manual for this machine- does anyone know how to switch it from 30 IPS to 15?  my understanding is that this is an internal adjustment...

I will be doing some repair work on an MS16 1" this weekend so i can investigate then.

You have to change the eq caps and a couple of resistors. If you do this, avoid using the green mylar "chicklets" and use good polypropylene caps like wimas.

i saw this machine and there is no utility to do this. I didnt get to open the deck portion to see the boards but if you can get some schematics, we could start to work it out. would need to see the crystal oscilator that clocks the phase lock loop and try to half-it. then change the repro and rec eq to match the speed diff. very possible, but not to go back and forth. (counter would be off unless you halved- it as well.)
