Quality AD and DA
« on: February 16, 2006, 08:53:32 PM »

Hi I have a question that i am hoping someone here can help me with.

I have recently purchased the Lavry blue with 1 set of AD converters and just purchased another AD module yesterday.

Now I am split on weather to purchase 2 more AD or DA's.

The reason for this is that I am currently running PT with Digi 192 and although 8 channels of Lavry blue's when tracking would be nice I usually also run 2 stereo busses out (drums and Mix buss for compression)when mixing down. There fore 2 DA modules may be better than the DA'a on Digi 192.

I have noticed a substantial quality difference with the Lavry AD's over the Digi 192 and am wondering weather the difference would be equivalent with DA's.

Your responses would be greatly appreciated.

I think that you will find the technical specs and performance on the Blue to be superiour to the Digi 192.  As far as a subjective opinoin to the sound, Dan asks that we keep this forum technical and reserve subjective opinions for other fourms.

(It sounds better too)

sorry if i am stepping outside of forum guidelines, but i will just say that the difference is just as substantial on the DA side. My jaw hit the ground.
