Title: Auralex Poll - Products I have used and liked.
Post by: Bill_Urick on March 28, 2009, 06:39:10 pm
Just wondering. Auralex is just, kind of, not discussed here that much.

I haven't done a poll before, but it seems that it would give the opportunity to anonymously comment on the product line. I can understand that professional acousticians might not want to either endorse or denigrate a product line like this, however they might feel about it.

I hope this is OK.

Thanks...

Certainly neither to bash or promote Auralex.
Just to see if anyone finds their stuff useful.

forget the foam -  extra dense 4" mineral fiber sheets (2ft x 4ft x 4in) are available from Auralex, and unlike the foam, they actually can stop a 40hz wave dead in its tracks.  I used six of these boards to tame the corners of my last listening room.  Best bang for the buck in all of my audio related purchases.  Just be prepared, they are not a lightweight product like the foam, these things are solid and heavy.

I have recently acoustically treated my studio. 1 room in auralex, 1 room in some British manufactured foam.

Pictures are on my website if your interested.

I can say categorically that I think Auralex are great. Nothing compares.

I don't like their room treating products but the Auralex Gramma works really nice.
