Title: Old Reslo (XLR or not)
Post by: Zaireeka on August 08, 2005, 04:30:24 AM
I have an old Reslo microphone that i don't really know much about.  At the base it has a thin red strip that says its a 'Pencil Dynamic' and 'Model PD'. I have two questions really;

1) could anyone give me a bit of info about it? I haven't had much chance to use it but i know its extremely directional, i can look at the capsule and give any info from there if that helps

2) at the moment it has a long jack cable attached to the base, I took a look and its connected by 3 pins (I've attached a pic i found of a similar one on eBay). I'm wondering if it would be worth changing it for an XLR connection.

At a guess im saying that the jack is just a jack-3 pin connection that was put on for convenience and not a standard thing. is this right?

cheers for any help you guys can give,
James
