Klaus,
Charlie directed me your way to inquire about sourcing (or info necessary in fabricating) this part.
I have a u67 swivel that somehow ended up loosing two of the screws. I'd like to remanufacture at a machine shop if no replacement exists but I'd at least need a thread pitch (and possibly screw diameter) if I can.
Can you assist me in this?

Diameter: 2.90mm (M3)
Pitch: 0.5mm
Overall length, including conical tip: 5.20mm.
P.S.: Say 'Hi!' to Charlie! One of about twelve Charlies I know will probably be the one!

That's funny you caught that. I fixed it. This is what I get for trying to post from my cell phone. It ALWAYS thinks it knows how to spell correct better than I do...
Thanks. I'm gonna find someone to fabricate these for me.

You should be able to find metric hardware (M3 X.5 X 5) in most well stocked hardware stores or Hobby Shops.

Thank you, Uwe. It may be worth mentioning that a 5mm length will recess the screws quite a bit into the barrel. I'd rather look for a 6mm length or longer and trim it down to size, so that the recess of the screw once installed is minimal.

Hello Klaus, do you have a link to these M3 screws ? i have looked online and found the right size, but they have a flat head which means they will be sticking out which doesn't look nice.

https://www.wegertseder.com/DIN-553-Gewindestifte-mit-Spitze-mit-Schlitz-ROSTFREI-A1
M3 x 5mm = 2092 - 376
M3 x 6mm = 2092 - 378
On the latter, you would need to grind down the conical point, so that the overall length of the screw will slightly recess into the swivel mount's surface.

I appreciate you sending me the link Klaus, but i can't figure out how to select the screw and put it in the cart ?
its a German website and it is not easy lol
when i try to select the screw a message shows up in german

I think you want the button below and to the right of the photo--the one that says "In den Warenkorb legen". You can click that once you've typed a quantity into the space to the right of the item number.
When I tried it with a randomly-chosen test quantity of 16 screws, I got the message "Die eingegebene Menge ist kleiner als die kleinst mögliche Menge" which means, "The indicated quantity is below the minimum." The minimum quantity is 20 ("small package") as indicated by the second column; when I changed to that, I got a message at the top of the page behind a green band saying, "1 Artikel erfolgreich zum Warenkorb hinzugefügt" (= 1 item added successfully to the shopping basket). Does that help, I hope?
I've never actually bought anything from this vendor, though, so I don't know whether there are obstacles further down the line or not (e.g. payment methods accepted).
--best regards

I put 20 in the quantity section and that worked, but the website keeps loading and never stops.
I used google translate so i can read the site in english but there are issues still, can't check out etc.
There has to be a local site where i can get these, but thank you.

I found a site that was easy to order :-)

Great!
As long as an ISO/DIN number of a fastener is known (in this case, DIN 553/ISO 7434), even stateside vendors may be able to help you.
And, once you have found a U.S. source, please post it here!

Great links! Thanks.
Has anyone compiled a convenient list of these screws for the usual Neumann suspects?
I’ve got a few in need, but don’t want to start a thread for each.
Or is that taking too much fun out of the hunt?
Km56
Km84
Sm69
U47 (head assembly)
U47 stand mount connector
U67 stand mount connector (covered in this thread)
Or is there a simple way to measure the pertinent dimensions and pitches of existing screws for finding replacements?

A feeler gauge and a thread pitch gauge will give you all the answers.
