Title: Siemes-auso compressors
Post by: synthi on December 15, 2006, 10:15:01 PM
Its me again Wink

I have a pair of siemens compressors, model ELA 75-16b. Still non working because the lack of info. They are labelled "telecomunicazioni auso siemens" and I got them in Italy. I´m sure are made by siemens and exported for auso Italy. I think siemens exported to several countries under different branches (Austria, Italy...)
Again, do you have documentation for this model? Also, some of the history about the Siemens connections with broadcast outside Germany would be a delight to read!

Best Regards

Synthi

Hello Synthi,

Siemens build all their V4x/5x/6x/7x series in the "Werner-Werk", when the production stopped there in the late 70s the audio wing was moved to WSW in Vienna and call then Siemens.
Over the years Siemens build audio equipment through several sub division like WSW and the best know is "Klangfilm" but my interest was always the "gray" tube and transistor modules the 4x/7x and the 27x series, so I can not help you with anything other than that.

You can contact the Siemens archive to see what is still available. You can get info about Siemens at http://www.siemens.com/index.jsp

Best regards,

Oliver
