Title: "Analog L2" for sale
Post by: zmix on March 23, 2006, 11:39:41 AM
I would like to sell something that I consider quite interesting and different than any of the currently available copycat and 'me-too' boxes:

The Valley "Leveler" is a fast peak limiter which uses a class A VCA and minimal signal path (just 2 op amps and the VCA).
It is a very transparent limiter which uses Michael Morgan's patented "log of the absolute value" detection scheme. rather than peak or RMS detection.
I have two modules and the rare Valley PR-2 rack. This is a 1u rack with a link switch and integral power supply.

$750 / offer for the entire package. This will pay for itself in one session...

Yes, that's me.

Sounds very interesting, I might get it.

The Leveller uses Linear Integration Detection, a patented circuit which precisely emulates the human ear.

Great.  So how often do you have to trim the hair on this thing?

No need for the weekly trim, it's a permanent flat top.

First time that I've seen an analog L2, didn't even know that there was such a thing until now.

I want to hear it ...I want to hear it!!
Can you spill coffee on it?
How hard can you pull the knobs?

Me too, but the Pendulum Audio PL-2 was just released yesterday approx. so I might be going for that instead, although that isn't a leveller according to Pendulum.

I find more wax buildup than hair... this thing isn't old enough to grow hair anywhere yet!
