Title: ISRC Embedded Question...??

Hey,
Someone asked me something today that I could not answer exactly.
They have a "glass master" prepared with JAM that includes the ISRC code for a particular song, along with the PQ codes, etc.
They want to know if they can "dupe the CD themselves" for iTunes (who require the ISRC) and other services, and if that dupe will also contain the ISRC code...
I thought the code itself was contained in file information created by the software (in this case, JAM), and that that information pointed to the WAV file included. I thought that if the CD was duplicated on something like a normal computer or dupe machine, rather than being replicated, the ISRC would be lost, because it was not imbedded directly into the WAV file.
BUT, I don't know for sure...
Anybody know the real deal info here?

ISRC is embedded in the disc. Most CD duplicators will copy the ISRC no problem - it's easy enough to look at the dub with some program like JAM and see if the ISRC is there.
This does not apply to CD Text. I've yet to find a CD duper that copies text info.

I don't have a CD player that shows text on hand to check but I just copied a master with CD-TEXT in our Duplicator tower in the office, put in my Mac, and using terminal with drutil cdtext, it shows that the text is definitely there.
