Title: Do you allow smoking in your studio?

If your studio is a home studio, I don't know if this applies. I'm looking at commercial spaces or dedicated commercial spaces in a home (e.g. add-on, basement, or other 100% studio space that is used by paid clients).

I had some clients give me grief because I refuse to let them smoke in my building.  I wouldn't budge.  For the health of my lungs and my gear, no smoking inside the building.  What do you permit?

Worked at a commercial studio outside of Boston for a few years.  Before the whole anti-smoking thing was hip, the owners absolutely, positively banned smoking from the control room because it mucked up the gear.

They got a Big-Name Producer in for a few days.  Because they felt they couldn't tell Big-Name Producer what to do, he proceeded to smoke cigars and let his ashes fall all over the SSL.  Three repaired channel strips later, I think they learned not to change the rule for anyone.
