Title: U87 vs U89

All over the Internet I can find people talking the sonic differences between a U87 and U89. I can also see the capsules are completely different from each other and the circuit is different as well. However, no one mentions if they're using the same FET and output transformer or not. Anyone know? I don't even own either, or plan to, but was just curious.

Same FET, different transformer. (Not that this matters much sonically, in a discrete op-amp design like the U89.)

U89 circuit don't have more approach with u47fet circuit? I remember that read somewhere that...
