I was bidding on this interesting stereo/mono ribbon mic made by Bang & Olufsen in 1961 and was wondering if it's even any good. The literature can be found on here somewhere http://www.beoworld.co.uk/. I'm a little alarmed at the 13k HF spec but it sure 'looks' like it would sound nice, lol! I love the idea of a rotating coincident.

I'm really sorry for anyone else who was bidding on it as the prices for this and any future auctions will no doubt go way up (or will they?). I just couldn't wait to hear what Fletcher and everyone else thinks.

I started a thread at Klaus about this mic

Spec are about right for a ribbon

problem is : does it work right ?

it's a very thin ribbon in it, and I was making sure that Royer still re ribbon this thing. It's very close to a SF-12, I don't know if you noticed ...

Malice,

I noticed the similarities indeed! I'm also skeptical about it working (after all that time in storage they mention). Hope it finds a good home.
