I have a Dressen-Barnes Regulated Supply, model 22 102 A. It's rated at 150 volts at 70 mA. There is also a 6.3 volt filament supply. The item uses five tubes.
I'd like to know if it's practical to use the power supply to run some sort of tube circuitry, such as a microphone pre-amp, an electronic crossover, or the like.
What types of circuits could benefit from having a regulated supply? And is 150 volts enough for a real circuit, or is that getting down into starved-plate land?
Your comments would be appreciated.
best,
john

ask this in the tech section (or maybe STeve will move it for you) and you will get a better chance at a good answer.

The power supply could run many different valve circuits probably.
I suppose it depends what you are looking for.
It may be easier to make a supply from scratch if you have a particular design in mind which requires a different HT or heater voltage.
