Post by: livingstone on January 17, 2011, 03:24:56 PM
as i thought it could interest a few folks around here i aksed Brad if i could post the announce in those pages,
so here they 're !

2 x NEVE 3416 line amplifier
these were spares that i had for the Neve A5424 disk transfert desk we had here.
i thought to wire them as input gain for my loop, but as time goes i'm more and more minimalistic.

they feature 24db of gain (wich can be modified for higher gain but for mastering it is largely enough)

BA440 amp,
st Yves L31267 / Marinair 1751  I/O transformers
purveyed with matting connectors

600

I can understand why there is little excitement personally for mastering at least.

Although whatever floats your boat I guess.

I've used a few different Portico units in the past and there are some jobs that could use just a little sheen running through that series line amps. I would believe these would a tad darker than the portico sheen.
