Title: 112 db Redline Reverb
Post by: eightyeightkeys on April 27, 2009, 11:36:12 AM
Based on and evolved from the super lush R66 reverb which is no longer, this new reverb is worth checking out. A 60 day trial is available.

Evidently, old R66 presets are compatible, which is good, since I have many.

Huh, not sure what that has to do with anything. Perhaps, next time you could offer up something more constructive.

I like the sound of the Redline Rev, been using it in a couple of different spots in my productions. I've been digging it on percussion and for some vocals.

Yes, excellent sounding reverb.

I dunno. How many ways can you arrange knobs? And how many mock-ups of antique hardware are there.

Of more interest, I think, is the design team:

That alone makes me want to at least demo this stuff.
It's priced attractively if it's worth having.

Plus, I like the name of the company:

112 dB.

That sounds really loud.
And louder is better.

But couldn't you just make 112 db a little louder?

How many db do you get if the knob is turned up to 11?

I downloaded the demos.
The controls were really twitchy.
When I deinstantiated an EQ it crashed PT.
Not sure what to think.

Really Bill ?
I've never had an issue with it all, but, I am using it as a VST plug, native...Windows XP.
The controls have never behaved oddly and it is a pretty sweet sounding reverb. Maybe a bit along the lines of the EOS.

This was the EQ. The preamp controls were also wonky, but did not crash the app.

I haven't tried the reverb.
