Title: Known Desktop MB/CHIPSETS that work with MACKIE firewire
Post by: 30SecondHERO on June 07, 2006, 01:41:50 AM
DOes anyone know of laptops and desktop systems - motherboards and chipsets - that are known to work with the Mackie Onyx Firewire mixers? Mackie support evidently does not have this info
I beleive they are ashamed of their ASIO driver or something ...

I use a Sony Vaio with an Intel 855PM chipset, model PCG-6B1L.

I've installed it but not done any real-world testing on a Dell Inspiron 4100.  The Sony is smaller and faster, so I went with that.
