Title: Small Passive Speakers - Ideas?
Post by: drknob on January 24, 2011, 10:23:57 AM
Hi Folks,

Similar to a previous thread, I need to source a high quality small passive for research purposes. We may have to buy as many as 50, so $1000 each is about the limit. They also need to be 8" wide or less. Here's what appeals so far:
PMC DB1S+
ATC SM7
ProAc Studio 100
D&B Audiotechnik E0

Ideas?

If you're curious about what we do check: http://www.cirmmt.mcgill.ca/

If you're doing research I'd assume accuracy is important.
If so, avoid ported designs.

With the PMC's you have the advantage of a (relatively) local distributor with a great reputation for customer service.

I think they are pretty damn good speakers too, HK!
