Better start direct coupling or servo-ing all your analog electronics. Very few audio pieces are flat below 20 hz. They can be, but with circuit mods. Add all those low end roll-offs and you end up with a bit of phase lead shift. My guess is that sub would reveal all the sloppy bass response of all this analog gear.

Of course phase shift at one or two hertz really just means that one ass cheek will flap before the other one, right? Not that big an issue.
