Title: L2 software x L2 hardware
Post by: Alécio Costa - Brazil on August 24, 2004, 12:46:05 PM
Hi,
IS there a difference in sound, controls bettween L2 software and L2 Hardware?
Also, considering L2 software, is the TDM version of the same sound quality of the other plugin formats it might have been released all over the years?better?equal?worser?
Thanks

Alecio -
I know you're familiar with the PSP stuff. I've been using the VW as my limiter with good results. Have you tried that...?

Jeff,
Just like you, I habe been using the PSP stuff for some reasonable time. At this very moment I am using it inserted on kick and overs. I do love this plug!It really breathes!
I will evaluate the limiter section more carefully and compare it to the limiter section of TC MAster X and L2.
I have not been able to reach satisfatory results with the L1, so I still prefer the limiter section of the TC MAster X 5 band version.

The answer of course being: "No limiter is better than any limiter"

What if it sounds better with the limiter in?

Then it sounds better with the limiter in!

I should rewrite my post as:  If you need to "soften" transients, then a good limiter can do the job (nicely). But if for the particular recording, transient loss and depth loss sounds bad to you, then no limiter is better than any limiter!
