Title: L-pad? calibration

Bob katz mentioned here that if converters don't have a calibratible trim on them to use an L-pad. Where could one find these? And, would they be difficult to DIY?

o k... couldnt i just attenuate with the mixer faders a bit?

Sure, but depending on how much you need to attenuate you could degrade signal to noise at the output of the mixer.

well what I did was, trimmed to -10dbv mode on converters outputs to the mixer which is at +4dbu, then inputs back on the converter is +4. Since -10 was too much i made up for it with mixers faders, but still within optimal gain structure range as indicated on the mixer itself.
