Title: Parallel Compression Article
Post by: fossiltooth on June 24, 2011, 10:14:42 AM
Hey recording nerds! This week, I wrote and article about Parallel Compression (http://bit.ly/l8V5kX). People seem to like it. Maybe you will too?

Actually, it actually covers a range of parallel techniques. I've been writing for music magazines for a while, but this is my first "How To" piece. Let me know if you like it, and if you'd want to see any other topics covered. Thanks!

Nice article.

When I did live sound I quite often used parallel compression on the vocals which worked quite well to avoid a harsh vocal sound in the choruses.

Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed. I'm just starting to introduce a recording techniques series to the blog, so let me know if there are any other topics you'd like to see get a similar treatment.
