Title: Frank's Wild Years
Post by: antti on January 30, 2005, 11:34:49 AM
Tom Wait's 'Frank's Wild Years' is one of my all time
favourite albums. I wonder if someone knows knows
about it's recording. It was engineered by Biff Davies
who did some other TW recordings too. I can hear
a lot of similarity in some D. Friedmann's productions
(both sonics & instrumentation) and that's why I posted this here.

I quess they used 47 on vox? Nice tube distortion,
nice room sounds, plates, spring. They must have
used some ribbons too? Pzm?

Any ideas guys?

Cheers,

Antti
