Title: Sony FS-700 Timecode
Post by: boydeincolour on October 24, 2016, 09:02:46 AM
Hey Everyone,
I'm not even sure if these forums cover work with camera's but I'm having a little trouble working out the best way to work with a Sony FS-700 on an upcoming shoot. If this is a place someone may have experience it's much appreciated.

This is leading on from this topic - http://jwsoundgroup.net/index.php?/topic/13536-sony-fs700-time-code-question/ - (they have a validating process so I can't post in there yet and I'm urgently looking for answers, before you ask hehe)

The fs700 has a timecode out ability but only via HDMI. As I can tell that would only be able if you connected it to a PIX which just isn't worth renting/buying for the sake of the type of shoot it is.. then you can jam from the PIX.

So my question is, am I missing something in terms of other work arounds or adapters you might have come across? If not, have you got much experience with the MovieSlate App rather than just doing a hand clap?
