Instrumental (TV) Tracks ?
For No-Vocal (TV) and Instrumental Tracks that often go with a pop mastering job.
I usually print those immediately after doing the vocal version, while the EQ is set.
Only takes a few extra minutes.
Today I went back and looked at my notes, to master the Instrumental tracks for a record we mastered about a month ago. Having those notes made it go easily.
Sometimes I'll bring the level down a dB or so, to make the tracks playback a little easier, on whatever format they end up on.
Anyone doing anything different ? Anyone get many of those to master ?

We do a lot of TV-versions (called "minus one" here). The same as vocal version, but less compression - PA and TV engineers ask some more peak-to-rms ratio, they need some room for vocal.

Typically the same processing here.
I usually run the TV and Instrumental versions on a different session (and usually a separate invoice as well). That way, I can turn the project quicker, the whole project can go through the approval process, and I'm not changing 3 versions instead of one if there are tweaks.
It also gives the client a better view of what the project cost separated from what the tracks added to the invoice.
