Title: Dealing with electrical interference
Post by: Kent F on March 23, 2011, 03:49:08 PM
I'm normally recording interviews for radio, but volunteered to run house sound and record sessions for a conference.  So, this was new for me.  The event was taking place in an older church.

While I was recording the sessions, occasionally I would get a low-level rhythmic clicking.  It soon became apparent that the noise was associated with a fan and sometimes other devices which were plugged in - and I would assume running on the same circuit as the audio gear.

I know that these will sound like questions from the uniformed - but, that's where I'm at in my understanding so I'm looking for some help so I can know better what to do should this happen again.

Thanks.

Kent
