Title: Get files from PT LE 5.1 on macos 9.2?
Post by: Ted Olausson on April 14, 2010, 06:42:56 PM
I have borrowed a computer with a digi001 interface and recorded some songs with protools 5.1 on macos 9.2

Now, i would like to get the songs out of the computer somehow.
Both as tracks, to mix at other more modern systems at home, and if possible also as a stereo-wav file.
Is this possible?

The mac dont have any cdburners or floppydrives but there is a connector similar to usb on the keyboard, is this useable to anything?

if the Mac doesn't have any ports of any type you can access effectively, does it have a connection to the internet?

email or yousendit the files to yourself

Now i found a connector similar to ethernet on it, and netscape... so that may very well work Smile Thanks!

"similar" to Ethernet MIGHT be just an RJ-11 telephone jack for direct connection to a phone line (meaning the computer might have a built in modem)

finding dial up internet access - not that easy

It was ethernet, But thanks to your suggestion to look for internetconnection, i did it slightly differently...
I am quite used to pc, so i installed a webserver on a notebook and managed to save the files that way.

The recordings are of a bunch of jazzmusicians of which several never have used a microphone before, and the song was ofcourse unheard of for them, so it has been quite a fun adventure these days...
