Innocent question: What does 'touchdown on kick return' mean? -I'm ASSUMING it refers to when a team 'kicks off' after scoring, and the catcher manages to take it to the other end-zone...? -Is that right, or am I misunderstanding? (Apologies... I'm really not a follower of the game)
Is that the same thing as the Giants thing the other day? or was that something else?
Oh, and that's not actually me in the earlier photo (though it is a friend of mine, and it is where I stayed while I was on the island last month); -merely included for amusement, to show that it really looks like a 'fantasy island' at times!

A kickoff to a receiving team is a method of transferring possession of the ball, but it is an open field. That is, the receiving team is free to run the ball back as far as the kicking team allows them to do so.
