Title: Question about something Dan said in his sampling paper

"The compromise between speed and accuracy is a permanent engineering and scientific reality."

how does this statement apply (if at all) to increasing CPU speeds and digital audio; specifically to ITB mixing/recording and digital mixdowns/summing from programs like protools or nuendo?

can this be an issue as cpu speeds increase in the future? is it an issue now? if so how come? if not why does the quote not apply?

It refers only to sample rate, not to CPU speed, there is no connection between the two. Once you've sampled you can do your processing at any speed, the accuracy is the same.
