Title: 80B meter lights
Post by: retrograde on November 14, 2005, 12:19:31 PM
I'm sure I've seen a discussion of this task here before but can't find it.  Has anyone here tackled replacement of bulbs on 80B meters who can provide hints to save time or aggravation?

Thanks
Geoff

I'm not 100% certain on this, but I seem to recall there were different brands of VU meters used, and hence different lighting schemes.

I recently worked on an 80B which was "new to me", and those meters had a pair of very small bulbs soldered inside of the meter housing.  Someone had done some mods by literally taping some "flying lead" bulbs to the clear top of the meter housing, behind the metal plate.
