Occupation/Education Background:
Occupation - Software Engineer
Education - Electrical Engineering ( have done nothing formal with it ). Closest I've come to the hardware is a Bios for a laser device.
Musical Background:
Started playing drums in 1979. Have been playing ever since. I have recently begun to get into recording. Here is my equipment list:
* Tascam 2488 portastudio.
* Yamaha DTXTREME IIS electronic drum kit.
* An assortment of acoustic cymbals ( Istanbul Agops, Wuhan, Paiste ).
* Ludwig 1979 Black Beauty Snare.
I use PC MIDI sequencers, and PC multitrack recording software as well, mostly for mastering, but sometimes for overdubbing tracks. I master on the 2488 as well.
I really get into the recording/producing side of things.
Anyway, its nice to be here with all of you experts. I make it a point to always keep an open mind and learn all I can from folks who are more experienced than myself.
