Title: WUMP questions
Post by: greg charles on November 18, 2006, 07:33:25 PM
I think I joined this party too late.

Is there a sticky somewhere that explains exactly what WUMP is, the goals, how to participate, where the FTP sites are, the prize if any, and blah blah blah blah?

I did a search by title but it only took me back just a few months.

I guess WUMP 10 is next, but Im looking to find more information.

anyone is welcome to participate.  wump is not a contest, so no prize.

since wump is a collective effort, there could be different perspectives and more than one purpose; but i think our main focus revolves around  education.

Where is the download site?

I'm assuming you download a pre-master, master it, upload it to somewhere, compare your master with others?  Compare it with Brian Gardners as was done in an earlier WUMP? How much time do you get to master it? Final needs to be 16bit 44.1khz?

i think the answer to all the questions is: "yes"; although the deadline to sign-up and participate in wump9 has passed,

wump10 is anticipated soon.  everyone is welcome to participate.

Where is the download site?

At this time, John Scrip of Massive Mastering kindly lets us use his FTP. You can check out the original WUMP9 thread for details
