Darn... -It's getting near time for the Avocado tree outside Terry's house to bear fruit, unless I'm much mistaken! I have to say, it's distinctly chilly round here. -A couple of degrees lower, and I'll have to start wearing SOCKS! |

Dropped to -13c by 11pm here last night. By that stage breathing gets a bit funny feeling. Last year I found below -17c it started to hurt the nose when taking a breath. |

Where I'm from, that's only starting to get chilly. Once it gets below -40C, then you know it's winter... |

Snow not so pretty now. Very heavy snowfall all day today. Scotland ground to a halt, for various reasons, numpties playing a big part. We now have a steady stream of cold water pouring into our bedroom from above the window frame. Been out at 2.30am on a ladder trying to clear as much from the roof as possible but I think the problem has been a slight thaw yesterday creating a huge block of ice throughout all the guttering and on the edge of the roof. Joyous. |
