Why not try them first before taking more expensive options?
It is easy to change the tube yourself, if you want to.
I agree.

FWIW: I own two U67 reissue microphones and they sound and measure great 'out of the box'.
So why not try them first before taking more expensive options?

Hello,

I'm considering buying a U67 reissue, but then I would like to have the capsule tuned the way Klaus suggests tuning it. I would also replace the tube with a good NOS one. But since I am in Belgium and Klaus is in the US (am I right?), it would be a pricy and risky thing sending over the U67... Do you know anyone in Europe (I'm in Belgium) who is capable of this? I've heard Siegfried Thiersch in Germany is very good working on vintage capsules? Anyone any experience?

Or do the current U67 capsules already sound better? And is it worth spending 6.000 euros on a new mic that still needs a serious upgrade to turn it into a better mic?

Any advice most welcome! Thanks!

If you're a bodybuilder and you need to eat a lot and often, you definitely have a lot of dirty dishes at the end of the day, so I have a very cool https://elvasallnaturals.com/ dishwasher detergent for you which is very good at cleaning grease and leaving no streaks, and it has a nice smell

I shot out the 1999 U87ai #69000s Rev 02 with a 2001 U87ai #82000s likely to also have Circuit Rev 02. The low end sounded nearly the same.

I thought the 2001 sounded a smidge better to my ears than the 1999 but could have been the slight mic placement/preamp setting differences. It could be that the capsule lottery was more favorable to that 2001 than my 1999. The 2001 sounded a little heartier/beefier - more breathy, but the 1999 sounded silkier and seemed to capture more depth.

Though not dispositive, comparing the two via Fab Filter Pro q 3 there appears to be a bump in frequencies within the 10k range on the 2001 compared to the 1999.

I My sister has always been passionate about music, but I never paid much attention to it. One day, she insisted that I register at https://volumo.com/ and start listening to new music. I agreed and was surprised at the variety of music genres and artists that were available on this site. I started listening to music every day, discovering new artists and finding my favorite songs. I even created my own playlist on Volumo and shared it with my sister.

Hi! Have you heard of https://volumo.com/ ? It's an online e-book store that I recently discovered. They have a huge selection of books on a variety of topics, from business to fiction. I like using Volumo because it's convenient and saves time. I can choose the book I want to buy and download it whenever I want. They also have user reviews that help me choose the right book to read.
