I am curious, how many of you know whether third-party repair and parts vendors reskin capsules themselves, or use a subcontractor who actually does the work? I only know of ONE person who reskins of supplies M7-type capsules, and he does that for many Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs): Siegfried Thiersch.
Do you know of others who re-diaphragm M7 Neumann capsules, but do not necessarily identify their work (hence letting vendors use their names)?
What about reskinners who work on the rest of the Neumann capsule line? I know of:
* Doug Walker, Canada
* Tracy Corby, U.S. East Coast
* Tim Campbell, Denmark
* Tony Merrill (Stephen Paul Audio) Los Angeles
* Siegfried Thiersch, East Germany
* John Peluso, U.S. East Coast
* Ben Sneezby, Australia
* Peter Drefahl, Konstanz, Germany
I am not interested in discussing the quality of work any of these provide, I just would like to lift the curtain on who actually does all the work for manufacturers or repairers who do not always reveal their sources freely.

John Peluso (USA) does Neumann capsules.
-
From them ground up, i.e. new copy capsules, or original Neumann capsule cores he resins?
-
Peluso can make this job. I know that he makes reskin Sony capsules too.
-
Thanks, and added to the original list.
-
What about Ben Sneezby?
and I'm sure you meant Tony Merrill not Merritt...
(Sorry for the spelling, and Ben has now been added by your suggestion. Thanks, KH)
-
And it's Doug Walker, I think you meant.
(Yes, I meant, K.H.)
-
Not to mention Tracy Korby, who has been in the Nashville area for several years.
-
Maybe I did not make this clear in my OP: I was trying to figure out who resins existing capsules, rather than making capsules for their proprietary products.
Does Tracy Korby reskin existing capsules?
-
Peter Drefahl will reskin or if you prefer send to Mr Thiersch.
(Thanks. Added to list, K.H.)
