Hi, does anyone know where I can get an NSK bearing for a Technics 2 track machine?

I wrote to comm@nsk-corp.com with no response for a few weeks. Maybe there's a dealer or vendor source?

I'm looking for

The part number is 6052 or 60SZ (it's a hard to make out, inscribed on the bearing).

I don't know how to repack bearings, but after cleaning this frozen one with alcohol and adding a tiny tetch of WD-40 I got it to spin fine, but of course this gives it a limited "rejuvenation" and it could freeze up again at any time.

Bob, so far, Panasonic has never failed me. Did you check with their site and see if they still have it?

I order beaucoup parts from Matshushita, some are very old. If you display the model number, I can see what I can do. I have gone to the source in Japan a few times as I can nav. their site pretty well.

Technics, Panasonic, Matshushita, ramsa..all same site..

Good call, Bill. Unfortunately, I went to the Panasonic site as you suggested and when you proceed to order it and check parts availability, not surprisingly, the part has been discontinued. I'm sure the bearing manufacturer (NSK) still makes it if I can get a hold of it. Any ideas, dear readers?

Ironically, I have (had?) a full service manual for this machine. I seem to have misplaced it.

Dear Bob,
I would suspect that this is not an extremely rare bearing. I would look up in the yellow pages in your area and look for a bearing shop. These places specialize in bearings and have a cross list of all the bearings from the major manufacturers. In Boston, we have a place called Action Bearing. their website is:

I've been getting all my precision bearings for my Ampex and Studer machines from these guys for years. As a bonus, they also have a huge supply of both Metric and SAE precision bearings in stock.
Give them a call and they can probably get you the correct bearing for 1/10th the price of the original manufacturers replacement part, and often times it is actually a better bearing.
