New to the recording Software world
« on: October 07, 2005, 02:01:59 AM »

I was wondering what would be a great program/hardware to start out with because im new to this and ofcourse, protools is the "industry standard" but ive heard mixed things and protools hardware is really expensive.  if anyone could kind of give me a good compairison id appreciate it, along with suggestions as to what hardware to buy along with it.

I had cubase sx3 and a roland 2480. i looked at PT HD and ended up with SAW studio, and RME FF 800 and some plugs

you would do yourself a huge favor to check them out

www.sawstudio.com

and ask any question you want of the actual programmer and SAW guru's at

www.sawstudiouser.com

SAW blows all my other set ups away in terms of sound quality, stability on a windows platform, and especially support.

good luck

protools m-powered is affordable...

and fully compatible with the great majority of pro studios that use the bigger protools systems.....

and in my opinion protools is still the easiest software to learn.... i always say thay i can teach anyone to use pt basically in a day....
