« on: September 06, 2005, 09:16:06 AM »

Channel 2 on my 8 ch dac rig does not respond..I fear the little pot may have been over turned or something..the other pots are fine and calibrate properly..what is the best way to approach this problem?  Dan? anyone?

What I mean to say is the "ch2" pot does not function..the Dac itself is fine..the pot just does not function..

Hey, I would like to know the procedure you're using for calibration. Thanks

Hi Rems..

what I do is use an old hp tube oscilator set at 10k and take a multimeter and adjust and measure the ouput signal to be 1.28dbv..you know the +4 balanced level standard..then adjust the little pots on the dacs to whatever you want to be your "0" point..I'm using -12dbfs currently..but you can do whatever..
