Consider the Mighty Oak
« on: September 27, 2005, 08:58:06 AM »

..turgid and exploding over a high meadow, or penetrating through a bountiful canopy of silent companions....

....nimble roots that reach around in search of moisture....

......reaching skyward, natural cleavage on display

standing pert and naked in the cold climes.....

.....sometimes bending and twisting as if to say.......

Give it to me baby....

Are you sure it's an oak you're referring to, and not a willow?

Sorry,

You are of course correct....

Check it out G,

I was spying in the willow patch
beyond the antre a fine woven thatch
dusk settling in like a Meadowlands tarp
I had to plug my snoz 'cause it smelled like carp

The willow patch is where I often dine
Excluding the moments when it flows red wine
The shrubbery is tailored like a fine silk coat
But you can still get boughs in the back of your throat

Um

er

Trees are truly a fantastic and awesome part of nature.  Nothing trivial about their majesty. Shocked

Trees are put here to be commanded by man.  It says so in the Bible.  Since I am born again I don't even have to believe in osmosis, because God would give us oxygen even without it.

I believe that the true "majesty" as you put it does not exist in trees but in our holy savioueur G-O-D.

Without him there would be no T-R-E-E-S.

Nick, I too am an admirer of nature.

Here in England there is a lot of it but Nick please take a moment and consider your S-A-L-V-A-T-I-O-N.

Recently my family was host to Harry Truman.  He is deceased you know, so he really wasn't that fun to be around but it was truly wonderful to be around such a great man.  In his many trials throughout his life he looked to G-O-D.  I asked him what it was like to order the nuclear annihilation of thousands of people but he didn't answer me.  He just stayed in his U-R-N.

Nick, do you think I am insane?

Here at Oxford there are many mental health professionals and sometimes you can see two in one day.

I'd like to take some time to discuss motocross.

Do you like motocross Nick?

Jesus has a plan for you Nick.

Cheers...
