I have had an MKL2500 for a couple of years. I don't like it on my lousy voice, but it sounds fine on a woman I record with a big, classically trained voice.

There are at least a couple of versions of this mic available.  I got mine for $199 at GC and thought I was getting a good deal.  I havent found any reference to this tube, except in connection with this particular mic.

Thanks Mandocaster, Just wondering if your Mic came with a manual? I seen where some Oktava Mics were made in China. The bad news is that it is in Russian.

This should be a past tense, were made in russia- the latest shipment we've had are all chinese made...  Check before purchase if you are bothered!
