ok, gonna install a 24 channel Siemens C4 desk soon.

what's your opinion on connecting outboard gear that normally goes into the insert points on a desk. (compressors)

I'm using my procontrol to do the actual mixing but will sum out to my analog desk, 24 outputs.

what's the best, or most flexible , going from the DA's into the outboard and then into the desk. Or from DA out to desk in and using the normal desk inserts ?

Inserts on the desk are unbalanced by the way.

Anyone out there that tried both?
