nice surprise in the post today

just thought i'd share this

the first group that i did a master for a couple of months ago sent me there completed EP today

and there was my name on it 'Alex Ivory' as the guy that mastered it

put a big smile on face  Very Happy and me feel it was all worth
(do any of you guys feel the same way when you see your names on peoples CD's?)

if your interested the guys website is there are low grade tracks on there

Way to go Alex. Congrats!

Not to lessen this moment in any way but the even more exciting thing than your name on others work is getting calls to work for people you dont know ... people who were recommended to you by other people you've never heard of.  That will come next!

that's great! you can casually show your prospects this when they are coming for a studio visit.  maybe they will think that's an automatic thing to do, and then everyone will start doing it!

drifting off-topic, it was fun for me seeing you use the word "post" in the message header.  we always use the word "mail" in the US, so it was fun for me to look and see what part of the world this message was coming from.  we speak the same language, but there's sometimes some word usages that immediately distinguish things.  i always find that stuff entertaining.  sorry for the non-sequitor.  we now return to on-topic information.  Very Happy
