Plextools and Mac
« on: June 21, 2005, 03:15:01 PM »

I was wondering if anyone has tried (or if it is possible) to run Firewire cables from both a PC and a Mac to the same CD burner with dual Firewire or USB ports(e.g Plextor's PX-716UF/SW-8K).

My intent is to be able to run Waveburner Pro on a Mac and perform QC using Plextools on a PC.

Thanks.

Good idea, not sure if this would work though as most emulation programs seem to have issues with drivers.

Have you tried it?

I've been experiementing with PlexTools on a Mac running Virtual PC and it seems to run fine.  I have to power cycle my burner after I launch VPC so it can see it and then it's fine.

Look, I know it's mean.  But sometimes the end justifies the mean.
