Hello, i have been using Reverb return mono like S and the intrument mono track like m in a M/S matrix, if you put a comp before M/S matrix decode, you can get amazing open room sound.
It convert a sterile mono sound in a rich stereo instrument without phase problems.

Did you try it?
Do you have any trick about?
