Okay,  I'm new at this WHOLE scene and all I know is that I want to build a home studio.  My sons are trying to rap and my daughter is trying to sing and I have a niece who can sing and I want a studio.  My sons bought a Marshall, i believe, MXLV67 condenser mike and a Rolls GCI404 amp box.  I think we need to get a new sound card because they are getting a lot of feed back at the mike????  What is a good, but low budget sound card to get?

Getting feedback from where?  From the speakers?  Turn the speakers down, or turn them off.  

If they're rapping to beats, use closed headphones.

Any soundcard with a line in jack should work fine with the system you already have.

I think an ESI July is a good joice or for a lilbit lowerprice the audiophile 2496.. these are very nice sounding cards for homestudios! Got em both 1 year ago!
